Lebron James Loses to a Warehouse Worker

In a game of HORSE, Lebron James lost miserably to now known as the trick shot master, David Kalb. According to Sports Illustrated,

“James was on an outdoor court at Venice Beach to take on David Kalb in a shooting game, mostly of trick shots, although James’ outside shooting touch was way off. At one point, he grinned and said, “That wind.”

Kalb won the matchup with James in an online contest, “LeBron’s Trick Shot Challenge sponsored by Cub Cadet.”

Kalb’s bag of trick shots including one where he bounced the ball very high in the lane, raced around the goal post, caught the ball as it came down, and tossed it in the basket. James missed his try, and after losing the first game, declared best two-of-three. Each made, among other shots, left-handed free throws, but Kalb went on to win the second game as well.

After he missed his final shot, James tossed the ball away in mock anger.”

Either way, Lebron James is still the best…

Fall Out Boy Post New Song Written for Movie, Sex Drive

There are tons of reason why I hate Fall Out Boy and I could add a couple of more reasons from the title of this blog, but I will refrain and just provide the facts…

Fall Out Boy
has revealed the first single from their upcoming record, Folie A Deux. You can find “I Don’t Care” here.

The song will be in the upcoming teen road trip comedy, “Sex Drive.” Sources say the song was written for the movie itself.

Folie A Deux is “deux” out November 4 on Island/Decaydance.

Rebuilt Records Artist, Micah Dalton, To Play At CMJ Showcase

On October 23rd, at the Living Room in New York City, Micah Dalton along with Tyler James and Nathan Angelo, they will be performing at the CMJ Showcase! For those of you who may not be so familiar with CMJ (or College Music Journal), they do a lot of things like track college radio and highlight “what’s next” in music, so this is kind of a big deal for Micah.

The Whigs - Tokyo Police Club - Death Cab for Cutie - What Do They All Have in Common with Smoosh?

The Whigs and Tokyo Police Club are playing next week on September 10th here in Athens, GA at the 40 Watt venue, and I am cannot express how stoked I am about this show. With that being said I was scanning their websites to see what been going on and I came across this one band, Smoosh. I know what you are thinking. They are just a bunch of young girls from Seattle, whoopee doo. I did some listening and researched them some and really began to fall in love with this band of sisters. The drummer of the band, Chloe, was actually a protege of Death Cab for Cutie’s drummer, Jason McGerr, so now you know they are legit.

I think you guys should really check them out since these girls are not your typical girl bands. I mean they are from Seattle so I mean they are born into the indie scene. Check out these live video’s below. If you watch it long enough you can see them do a cover of Bloc Party’s, Modern Love…They are good just deal with it

Cute Is What We Aim For Should Aim To Be A Better Band - The Drummer Quits

If you haven’t heard Cute Is What We Aim For is a terrible band…

So terrible all the members are quitting…

“To all our fans who have had questions about my leaving the band - First off, I want to thank you for supporting me during my time with the Cute, as well as now. I also want to thank you all for congratulating me on my decision, and your words of encouragement have meant the world to me. Let me put the rumors to rest for you - I simply left the band because the personality conflicts and daily drama made it impossible for me to live a peaceful, happy life. I made it clear to Shaant that I would be leaving and explained why. I assure you that no one came looking for me. Shaant, Dave, and Jeff know fully and without a doubt that they left me no choice. There should be no question whatsoever. I will miss touring, playing my drums daily and the incredibly wonderful people I met along the way.

Thank you all again, because without you, I would have never made it this long.

I am comfortable with my decsion and am confident that I did all that I could, working to the best of my ability. I am walking away with my self respect and my dignity in tact.

Good luck to Cute, I wish you nothing but the best.”

Bassist Fred Cimato left the group in October 2006, only to be replaced by Jack Marin, who also quit mid-tour in April 2007 only to be replaced by Cimato. Cimato again quit the band earlier this year, with David Melillo stepping in for him. As of now, the band is continuing on their Canadian tour with Simple Plan and Metro Station with a fill-in drummer (dates below); no permanent replacement has been revealed yet
